  • Badly in need of a lisp routine

    Dear,

I need a lisp routine to do the do the following

    1. initiate a pline comand
    2. each node including first should place a circle of predefined dia and a dummy text adjacent to it.
    3. two texts should appear above and below the line joining the two circle with same orientation.
    4. the text can be "0000" to facilitate further editing.
    5. it should trim the circles
    6. it should have an arrow mark in the middle point of the line pointing towards the direction of ploting.

    thanks in advance

    Raghava.

    Welcome to the forum .

I did write the code for you and decided to keep it private and would upload a copy of the routine to be available for you and for the all whom interested to use , so the code would be in .vlx extension ( not accessible to modify the code ) because the code took my about one day to become complete routine indeed .

So is there any layer name that you want to lay the objects on besides that , any specific style name of Texts ?

      Thanks for the response,

The Circle should have a user input layer name and line another layer and the text styles would be defaults ones

      Thanks again

          Thanks a lot.
first to say yes - this is for a drainage drawing.
          Worked fine but

it is putting the text on the line also in the circle layer.

Pl modify the code to ask the following too.

          1. Layer for Circle text.
          2.Layer for text on line
          3. Layer for text at bottom of line.

          Thanks once again.

If you have a specify name of layers to lay the objects (Circles , Polylines and Texts) on , I think it is better for the user
not type the name of all these layer each time invoking the code .

If so , just post the name of the layers with their parameters ( Color , Ltype , LineWeight ) to include them within the routine , and
anytime the user run the code , each object should go to its layer , besides that the code would check these layers if they are not existed
into the current opened drawing .

Sorry for the delay - i was on vacation,

Just give option for selecting an existing layer with a warning at the beginning " pre-define layers for circle/line/toptext/bottext/circletest"

                  Kindly do it for me.

                  Thank you,
